Hi, my name is Kevin Matz. Winchelsea Systems Ltd. is the vehicle for my consulting activities and business projects.

I'm passionate about designing software applications and creating great user experiences.

My book Designing Usable Business Applications is scheduled for publication in late Spring 2012.

ChapterLab, a next-generation word processing and project planning app for the academic and technical writing markets, is currently in the research and development stage. A beta preview release will be published before the end of 2011, and polished Mac OS X and Windows editions will be made available for sale in early 2012.

Kevin Matz's professional background

I have over a decade of software industry experience in analysis, design, implementation, and quality management roles. My career includes six years at software design & management AG (now Capgemini sd&m) in Munich, Germany. I am now based on Vancouver Island, Canada. I hold a BSc in Computer Science (University of Victoria, 2002) and an MSc in Software Development (The Open University, 2011).

Winchelsea Systems Ltd. is named after the Winchelsea Islands, located near Nanoose Bay on the eastern coast of Vancouver Island.
